DIRTY HANDS PROJECT CLUBS

Mission Statement 

  • To be an inclusive club with the goal of educating its members and community about the importance of mental health with a focus on suicide prevention 

 

Members 

Students 

  • At least 1 Lead Ambassador to kick-off the club; recruit other members 

  • Defer to school-specific guidelines on minimum amount of members to make the club official Opportunity to elect at least 2 Officers - President and Secretary 

Faculty 

  • 1 Advisor to help navigate the process of starting a club as well as provide guidance and support to plan and run club’s activities 

  • Opportunity to involve faculty that specializes in mental health, ex. school adjustment counselor, on an as-needed basis 

 

Club Commitment 

  • Recruit members and spread awareness through in-person events such as club fairs and through social media 

  • Meet at least 6 times per school calendar year or meet school requirement if more Host at least 1 inclusive awareness event per school calendar year 

  • Organize and execute at least 1 fundraising event per school calendar year with profits going to Dirty Hands Project 

  • Participate in at least 1 mental health focused philanthropic activity per school calendar year 

 

Dirty Hands Project’s Commitment to the Club 

  • Provide marketing and educational materials for recruitment of members- banners, stickers, etc.

  • Provide content/ideas for at least 4 club meetings - guest speakers, educational materials

  • Provide ideas/support for at least 1 inclusive event and at least 1 fundraising event

  • Provide transportation to/from at least 1 activity per school calendar year 

  • Provide DHP merchandise for club members 

  • Bring local Chapters together once a year for networking and collaboration
